As a result, change occurs in the lives of individuals, families, communities, & organizations across the Globe.

In addition to running Metamorphosis Enterprises, in 2013, Dr. Forbes became the Director of Counseling for the House of Hope Atlanta. Dr. Forbes lead her team in creating a full-fledged professional mental health center staffed by licensed clinicians, that would be housed on the churches campus. In January of 2014, Haven House Counseling Center was officially launched, and Dr. Forbes served as Executive Director, overseeing all of its operations and provision of services. In 2015, Dr. Forbes roll at the House of Hope Atlanta shifted, as she became the Executive Director of Ministry Operations. Charged with the oversight of the day to day operations of the ministry, Dr. Forbes is humbled to serve such a great Pastor and People.

Having worked with adults and adolescents for 18 years, Dr. Forbes has extensive experience treating severe emotional disturbance. Her therapeutic modality of choice is cognitive behavioral therapy, and her specialization is group therapy, as she has seen the “power of the collective” in healing emotional wounds. Dr. Forbes has a love for school social work and as a result she is a Nationally Certified School Social Work Specialist (C-SSWS). Educational systems contract with Dr. Forbes to integrate clinical services into their school milieus. Lastly, in 2014 Dr. Forbes was apart of the first ever group of Nationally Certified Consultants for Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (EHS). In this role she consults with churches and organizations, providing tools & oversight, assisting them with fusing EHS into their cultures.

Dr. Forbes has held many leadership roles in various organizations geared toward youth advocacy with an emphasis on reconciliation of families from various ethnic backgrounds. Her endeavors have taken her around the world (Italy, Egypt, Israel) and she trains quarterly throughout the year to ensure that she is on the cutting edge of what is occurring in the mental health, and faith field, across the country.

It is not often that you come across a therapist & leader that can weave the clinical, practical, and spiritual in a way that the well adjusted as well as the acutely traumatized client can identify with. Dr. Forbes does this with equal parts finesse and innate ability. She strives to empower people to believe that thru competent and compassionate therapy they can be healed, restored, and see significant lasting changes in their lives.
